Basic Ranch Skills Training
Our Basic Ranch Skills Training is the foundational starting point for all new members. The trainers will guide you through a structured checklist using the 3 step process: Observe - Assist - Perform.
As you make progress, the trainer will sign off on each skill that you have mastered. You can preview the training checklist below.

Scoutmasters (Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts) may also reach out to partner with us. We can schedule days for scouts to earn merit badges and practice outdoor skills such as soil erosion prevention, ropes / tying knots, woodworking, gardening, trail repair, cattle herding, horse grooming, chicken coop management, and archery.

Getting Here
The Ranch is near 3601 Rowlett Rd, across from the Circle K gas station. We’re accessible from the Miller Road side of the property.
Don’t have a car? The Ranch isn’t too far from the DART’s Downtown Rowlett Station. Directions are here.
